Don’t like Salad? Read this!

Salad may be one of the most disliked dishes by many of us. But what if I tell you that you will start liking salads from now on after reading this article?

Here are salads “à la Rosa” aka “in my way” that will let you change your mind:

Tuna salad              

My way of making tuna salad is similar with others chef’s way for one reason: both of us are using tuna as the main ingredient.

As a big fan of tuna, I prefer to prepare this salad every week in my own way for sure. The combination of tuna and other vegetables mixed with mayonnaise and lemon dressing served in a lettuce “boat”, takes you to a whole different world!

All you need is: a can of tuna, corn, cucumber, green bell pepper, onions, and carrot.

For the dressing: two tablespoons of mayonnaise, one and a half table spoon of lemon juice, a pinch of salt, a pinch of white pepper.

To prepare this salad you need to mix the tuna with all the vegetables: small cucumber, onions and bell pepper slices, grated carrots and the corn.

Then, pour the dressing mixture and mix the salad very well.

Serve the salad by putting a tablespoon of the mixture in a leaf of baby lettuce.

Chicken fajita salad

Yes don’t be surprised! I turned the fajita into a salad but for sure without tortilla bread.

This salad is dedicated for every fajita lover around the world!

All you need is: grilled marinated chicken breasts, green, red and yellow bell peppers, corn, sliced onions, mushroom, garlic, avocado slices and red beans.

For the dressing: a half cup of lemon juice, a quarter cup of chopped coriander leaves, a pinch of salt, a pinch of black pepper, a pinch of hot paprika, 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

To prepare this salad, you need to marinate the chicken breast after cutting it into cubes or any other form you like, in one cup of olive oil with one cup of lemon juice with two tablespoons of fajita seasoning for at least one night then cook them on a hot grill.

Slice the bell pepper vertically. The same applies for the onions, mushroom and avocado slices.

Cut the garlic into small square pieces and mix it with all the other vegetables including the red beans and grilled chicken.

Prepare the dressing and pour it on the mixture then mix the salad very well.

You can serve the salad with tortilla bread if you like but I prefer it personally as it is.

Rocca-Shrimp salad

You may think that this salad is so basic but no! Eating this salad will make you feel that you are exactly sitting in a restaurant beside the ocean.

All you need is: grilled shrimps, Rocca leaves, tomatoes, fresh mushrooms, avocado slices, corn, grated carrots.

For the dressing: two tablespoons of mayonnaise, one tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, one and a half table spoon of lemon juice, a pinch of salt, a pinch of white pepper.

Marinate the shrimps with only salt and white pepper then gill them in a hot pan with a teaspoon of butter for maximum two minutes.

Wash the Rocca leaves and put them in the serving boil, then add chopped fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, corn and grated carrots in the order that you like and decorate your salad finally with the avocado slices.

Prepare the dressing and serve it alone in the dressing boat. Serve the salad mixture first then add the dressing over it.
